A little note from me.
My classes, workshops, and retreats are offered with care, inclusivity, and a deep respect for the different realities people are living with. I believe yoga and mindfulness can be powerful supports for wellbeing and mental health, and I want these spaces to feel welcoming, ethical, and accessible.
At the same time, clear boundaries are part of what allow this work to continue sustainably. These policies help me hold my offerings in a way that is fair, steady, and supportive of both community and livelihood.
Where possible, I also try to keep some room for flexibility, reduced-cost access, and community support. Thank you for meeting these offerings with the same care and respect.
Booking and payment
Full payment is required in advance to secure your place. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
For block bookings, your place is reserved for the full course rather than week-by-week attendance.
Workshops and retreats may sometimes require either full payment or a non-refundable deposit to secure your place. Any specific payment terms will always be shared in advance.
Regular classes
Some regular classes are offered on a drop-in basis.
If you book a single session and can no longer attend, refunds are not usually available unless stated otherwise.
If I ever need to cancel a class, I will always offer one of the following:
a replacement date
a class credit
or a refund for the cancelled session
Some regular classes may require minimum numbers in order to run. If minimum numbers are not reached, the class may be cancelled.
Block bookings
Some classes are offered as prepaid blocks rather than drop-ins. This helps create consistency for the group and sustainability for me as a teacher.
When you book a block, you are booking your place for the full set of dates.
If you are unable to attend a class within a block, that missed session is non-refundable and cannot usually be carried over. Your place has still been reserved for you, and the class costs remain the same whether or not you attend.
If you cancel before a block begins, a refund will only be offered if your place can be filled.
Once a block has started, bookings are non-refundable.
If minimum numbers are not reached by the stated deadline, the class or block may be cancelled and all payments will be refunded in full.
Workshops and retreats
Workshops and retreats often involve extra preparation, venue hire, materials, catering, guest facilitators, and other advance costs, so their booking terms may be slightly different.
If you book a workshop or retreat and need to cancel, a refund will usually only be possible if your place can be filled, and this may depend on how close to the event the cancellation is.
Any deposit paid is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by me.
Final balances must be paid by the stated deadline where applicable.
If I need to cancel a workshop or retreat, you will be offered a refund in full, or another clearly stated alternative where appropriate.
Some workshops and retreats may have their own specific terms, which will always be shared in advance.
Shared arrangements
Places are usually booked for one named person.
However, I know life is sometimes beautifully imperfect, especially around parenting and family life. In some cases, a shared arrangement may be agreed in advance at my discretion, for example where two parents alternate attendance within one household.
These arrangements must be agreed beforehand and cannot be changed casually during a block.
Community-supported spaces
Where possible, I offer a small number of reduced-price community spaces as a way of giving back to the community and helping keep classes accessible.
These spaces are limited and offered with care, based on availability.
Exceptional circumstances
Life happens. Mental health happens. Family happens. Energy levels happen. Body changes happen.
In genuinely exceptional circumstances, I may offer some flexibility at my discretion, but this is not guaranteed. This allows me to respond with humanity while still keeping the offering sustainable.
Final note
Thank you for supporting small, heart-led, community-rooted teaching. These policies help me continue offering classes, workshops, and retreats with warmth, integrity, and care, while protecting the sustainability of the spaces we create together.
